WPS and VanBerlo receive iF Design Award 2009
The design for the new parking system of WPS Parking Systems has been awarded with an iF Design Award 2009 by the IndustrieForum Hannover. After winning the GIO-Award in the summer of 2008, this is already the second award WPS receives for the design of its new parking system.
The iF Design Award, also known as the “Design Oscar”, is seen as one of the most important international product design awards. Every year products that stand out in design, innovativeness, selected materials and functionality receive an iF Design Award.
In the category "Public Design / Interior Design" the design of WPS and VanBerlo (the design-agency involved in the development of WPS' new parking system) was selected as winner by a panel of international judges, because of its iconic modern design, new standards of ease of use, and a great flexibility in possible configurations to cater for individual demands.
In total 2808 products have been submitted in order to compete for an iF Design Award this year. Among the winners are products like the MINI Cooper S Clubman, Philips Wake-Up Light, and the iPod Touch.
The official presentation of the iF Awards will take place during the CeBIT Fair in Hannover, March 3, 2009.
